The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has urged aggrieved party members to be patient when denied some positions.
Hamzat made this known during the inauguration of the advocates of the Sanwo-olu and Hamzat Support Group.
He said that although he had recorded several failed attempts to contest as governorship candidate in the state, he remained patient.
“You all know that, in 2014, when I contested with Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, I was not given. We must not because of today spoil tomorrow.
“If we are patient, everything will be better. Thank God some of the people he (Ambode) sent are here now,” he said.
He accused the opposition Peoples Democratic Party of allegedly mismanaging the country.
Hamzat said, “The other party spoilt this country. Between 1999 and 2015, the Federal Government did not construct any road in Nigeria.
“The only one they completed was the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway. Out of 206 roads, the APC has completed 86 roads in just three years.”
